How to Download Padvidhar Matdar List 2026 (Graduates' Voter List PDF) and Find Your Name, Serial Number and Booth
The graduates' (padvidhar) voter list is separate from the normal electoral roll and is published by district and divisional election offices. Step-by-step ways to search your name online and download the PDF in Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra, with tips for reading the list.
The padvidhar matdar list (पदवीधर मतदार यादी) — called the snatak matdata suchi (स्नातक मतदाता सूची) in Hindi-speaking states — is the electoral roll for a graduates' constituency of the Legislative Council. Only people whose names appear on it can vote in a padvidhar (graduates') MLC election. It is a completely separate list from the voter list you use for Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections, and it is not available in the usual "download electoral roll" section of most voter portals. That is why so many graduates struggle to find it.
With polling for 28 graduates' and teachers' seats in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra and Karnataka on 23 October 2026, here is how to find the list, search your name and download the PDF.
Before you start: Keep these details ready — the name of your graduates' constituency (for example "Lucknow Graduates'", "Pune Division Graduates'"), your district, your tehsil/taluka, and your name exactly as written in your Form 18 application.
Who publishes the padvidhar voter list?
For graduates' and teachers' constituencies, the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) is usually the Divisional Commissioner, with district officials acting as assistant EROs. The rolls are prepared afresh every six years with 1 November as the qualifying date — for the 2026 elections, the reference date was 1 November 2025. A draft list is published, claims and objections are heard, the final list is published, and supplementary lists are added later as names are included through continuous updation.
So the list is normally available from three places:
- The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) website of your state (name search).
- Your district's official website (usually
districtname.nic.in) — PDFs by polling station. - The Divisional Commissioner's website (in Maharashtra) — final roll and polling-station lists.
Uttar Pradesh: search your name in the graduates'/teachers' list
The CEO Uttar Pradesh website has a dedicated search for these constituencies.
- Open the official website of the Chief Electoral Officer, Uttar Pradesh:
ceouttarpradesh.nic.in. - Look for the option "Search your polling station by name for Graduate and Teacher Constituency" (it is promoted on the home page around MLC elections).
- Select the constituency type (graduates' or teachers'), the constituency (Lucknow, Varanasi, Agra, Meerut, Allahabad-Jhansi, etc.) and your district.
- Type your name (and relative's name if asked), enter the captcha and click search.
- The result shows your polling station and your serial number in the roll. Note both down or take a screenshot to carry on polling day.
Tip: If no result appears, try just your first name, try Hindi spelling, or search without your surname. Names entered from handwritten Form 18 applications are sometimes spelled differently.
Uttar Pradesh: download the padvidhar voter list PDF
District websites in Uttar Pradesh publish the graduates' and teachers' rolls as PDFs, usually one file per polling station. For the 2026 elections, district portals such as Lucknow, Varanasi, Chandauli and Mainpuri carried pages titled along the lines of "MLC Election (Graduate & Teacher) Final Voter List Publication-2026".
- Open your district's official website — for example
lucknow.nic.inorvaranasi.nic.in(replace the name with your district). - Look under Notices / Announcements / Election for "MLC Election 2026 Voter List", "Graduate & Teacher Voter List" or "Snatak / Shikshak Nirvachan Kshetra Matdata Suchi".
- Choose the graduates' (snatak) or teachers' (shikshak) list.
- Open the list for your tehsil and then the polling station that covers your area.
- Download the PDF and look for your name. Each entry shows a serial number, your name, father's/husband's name, address, and often your qualification.
If you cannot find the page, call the district election office or the voter helpline (1950) and ask for the "MLC graduate voter list" link for your district.
Maharashtra: padvidhar matdar yadi download and name search
In Maharashtra, padvidhar rolls are handled division-wise. For the Pune Division (Pune, Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur and Solapur districts), the Divisional Commissioner's website has a dedicated election page.
- Open
divcompune.maharashtra.gov.inand go to "Pune Division Graduate and Teachers Constituency Election 2026". - Click "Final Electoral Roll for Download" (published 12 October 2026). It opens a shared folder with the final rolls.
- Open the folder for the Graduates' Constituency, then your district and taluka, and download the part covering your area.
- On the same page, download the polling station list for the graduates' or teachers' constituency to see where your booth is.
- For an online name search, use the State Election portal's citizen section at
mahaelection.gov.in("Voter Search").
The same arrangement applies, through their own divisional commissioners and district collectorates, to the Nagpur Division and Aurangabad (Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar) Division graduates' seats and the Amravati Division teachers' seat. District websites such as Kolhapur's also posted notices linking to the final roll and polling-station list. The Chief Electoral Officer, Maharashtra (ceoelection.maharashtra.gov.in) maintains a "Graduates and Teachers Constituencies" section as well.
Bihar and Karnataka
In Bihar (Patna, Darbhanga, Tirhut and Kosi graduates' seats) and Karnataka, the graduates' and teachers' rolls are published through the state Chief Electoral Officer and the district election offices. Check your district's official .nic.in website under election notices, or ask the district election office for the polling-station-wise PDF.
How to read the padvidhar voter list PDF
| Column | What it means |
|---|---|
| Serial number (क्रमांक) | Your number in that polling station's list — polling staff use it to find you quickly |
| Name | Your name as entered from Form 18 |
| Father's / mother's / husband's name | Relative's name used to tell apart people with the same name |
| Address | The address you gave as your ordinary residence |
| Qualification | Degree and year (shown on some lists) |
| Header / footer | Constituency name, district, tehsil/taluka and polling station name and number |
Many rolls are scanned or printed in Hindi or Marathi fonts, so Ctrl+F may not find your name. Scroll page by page, or search the polling-station list first so you only need to check one file.
Name not on the padvidhar list? What you can and cannot do
- For the 23 October 2026 polls: it is now too late. Names cannot be added after the cut-off before nominations, and a regular voter ID does not let you vote in a graduates' seat.
- If you applied but your name is missing: contact the AERO/ERO office with your Form 18 acknowledgement so the issue is recorded, and check the supplementary lists.
- For the future: because the graduates' roll is prepared afresh every six years, you will need to apply with Form 18 when the next enrolment window opens — and you can also apply during continuous updation. Our guide explains eligibility and documents: Padvidhar voter registration (Form 18).
Polling day checklist
- Your serial number and polling station (screenshot or written down).
- An original photo ID — EPIC, Aadhaar, PAN, driving licence, passport or another document allowed by the Election Commission.
- Know how to mark the ballot — read our preference-voting guide.
- Polling hours on 23 October 2026: 8 am to 4 pm. Counting: 27 October 2026.
Frequently asked questions
From your district's official website (election notices section), the Divisional Commissioner's website in Maharashtra (for Pune Division: the "Final Electoral Roll for Download" link), or by searching your name on your state Chief Electoral Officer's website.
No. It is a separate electoral roll only for the graduates' constituency of the Legislative Council. Being on the normal Assembly voter list does not put you on the padvidhar list.
On ceouttarpradesh.nic.in, use "Search your polling station by name for Graduate and Teacher Constituency", select the constituency and district, enter your name and the captcha. The result shows your polling station and serial number.
No. Only electors whose names are in the graduates' roll of that constituency can vote, even if they are graduates and hold a voter ID.
Not for the 23 October 2026 polls — the roll is frozen for this election. You can apply with Form 18 in the next enrolment cycle or during continuous updation for future elections.
Many lists are printed in Hindi or Marathi fonts or are scanned images, so text search does not work. Find your polling station first, then scroll through that file.
