How to See Your Name in the Voter List 2027: Search Online by Name, EPIC Number or Mobile (UP Guide)
With Uttar Pradesh's 2027 voter list revision starting on 12 November 2026, now is the time to confirm your name is on the roll. Three ways to search online, what the result means, why names went missing after SIR, and exactly what to do if yours is not there.
Uttar Pradesh's next Assembly election is expected in early 2027, and the voter list that will be used is being finalised right now. The Election Commission has announced a Special Summary Revision (SSR) of electoral rolls with 1 January 2027 as the qualifying date: the draft roll comes out on 12 November 2026, you can file claims and objections until 11 December 2026, and the final roll will be published on 4 January 2027. If your name is missing, those dates are your window to fix it.
This guide shows every reliable way to check your name — online and offline — and what to do next.
Why you should check now — even if you voted in 2024
Uttar Pradesh went through a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of its voter list in 2025–26. When the draft SIR roll was published on 6 January 2026, it had 12.55 crore electors, down from 15.44 crore earlier — about 2.89 crore entries were dropped as deceased, not found at their address or duplicated. After claims and objections, the final SIR roll on 10 April 2026 had 13,39,84,792 electors, after more than 84 lakh names were added back or newly enrolled.
So many voters who had a voter ID and voted in 2022 or 2024 may no longer be on the roll — especially people who have moved, were away during house-to-house verification, or did not return their enumeration form. Checking takes two minutes.
Method 1: Search on the ECI Electoral Search website
The Election Commission's official search page is electoralsearch.eci.gov.in. It offers three ways to search:
(a) Search by EPIC number (fastest)
- Open
electoralsearch.eci.gov.inand choose "Search by EPIC". - Select your language and state: Uttar Pradesh.
- Enter the EPIC number printed on your voter ID card (for example, three letters followed by seven digits).
- Type the captcha and click Search.
- If your name is on the roll, you will see your name, age, relative's name, assembly constituency, part number, serial number and polling station.
(b) Search by details
- Choose "Search by Details".
- Enter your name, father's/husband's name, date of birth or age, gender, state, district and assembly constituency.
- Enter the captcha and search. If too many or no results appear, try the Hindi spelling or leave out the surname.
(c) Search by mobile number
- Choose "Search by Mobile", select the state and enter the mobile number linked to your voter record.
- Enter the OTP sent to that number.
- Your entry appears if the mobile number is linked. If not, use the EPIC or details search.
Method 2: Use the ECINET app
The Election Commission's unified ECINET app brings together services from nearly 40 older apps, including the Voter Helpline app. You can download it from the Play Store or App Store, register with your EPIC or mobile number, choose English or one of 22 Indian languages, and use voter search, the polling booth locator, e-EPIC download, application tracking and even book a call with your Booth Level Officer (BLO).
Method 3: Check the draft roll PDF of your polling booth
From 12 November 2026, the draft roll for every polling station in Uttar Pradesh will be available. Download the PDF of your booth from the Election Commission's voter portal (voters.eci.gov.in → Download Electoral Roll) or from the CEO Uttar Pradesh website, and look up your name page by page. This is also the best way to check entries for your whole family. Step-by-step instructions are in our guide UP Voter List 2027: download PDF and add your name.
Method 4: Offline — BLO, ERO office or helpline
- Booth Level Officer (BLO): Every polling station has a BLO who keeps a copy of the roll. During the claims period, BLOs usually sit at polling stations on special campaign days.
- Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) / tehsil office: The draft roll is displayed at the ERO's office and polling stations for public inspection.
- Voter helpline 1950: Call 1950 (add your STD code if calling from a mobile in some areas) to ask about your entry.
Understanding your search result
| Field | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Assembly constituency | The Vidhan Sabha seat where you will vote in 2027 |
| Part number | The section of the roll for your polling station area |
| Serial number | Your number within that part — polling staff use it to find you |
| Polling station | Where you go to vote |
| EPIC number | Your voter ID number |
Write down your part and serial number — it makes polling day much faster.
Name not found? What to do (by 11 December 2026)
| Your situation | Form to file |
|---|---|
| Name not on the roll at all / first-time voter (18 by 1 January 2027) | Form 6 — new registration |
| Name is there but details are wrong (spelling, age, photo, relative's name) | Form 8 — correction |
| You moved to a new address (same or different constituency) | Form 8 — shifting of residence |
| Someone dead, shifted or duplicate is still on the roll | Form 7 — objection / deletion |
You can submit these forms online on the voter services portal or the ECINET app, or hand them to your BLO or the ERO office. Claims and objections filed between 12 November and 11 December 2026 will be decided by 28 December, before the final roll on 4 January 2027. Registration remains open after that through continuous updation, but names can no longer be added once the last date for nominations of an election has passed — so do not wait for the election to be announced.
Beware of fake links: Only use official websites ending in .gov.in or .nic.in, and the official ECINET app. Never pay anyone to "add your name" — registration is free.
